Madeline's little heart

We finally had our appointment with a cardiologist about our little Madeline's heart.

And hearing about it broke mine.

Although from researching and a few brief passings with cardiologists about her condition we had some inkling of what we may hear...

We weren't quite expecting to hear what we heard.

She's gone through so much in her short life.

But we know God can heal all :)

She will have the best Doctors "Money can buy ( or in our blessed case, Insurance) :-)

And all our love :-)!

And that combination...There's no beating that:)

Madeline, we are so blessed to be your Mommy and Baba(Daddy). We can't wait to bring you home and help your little heart begin to heal physically...and emotionally.

  1. Sarah! Madeline is just BEAUTIFUL!! I just got done reading your story to her and God's fingerprints are ALL over it! How wonderful that you are sharing your story - the good and the bad - it will be a blessing to many :)
    Congratulations on your new daughter!!

  2. When you find your child, the diagnosis just seems to fall away doesn't it? :) When our adoption agency was reviewing our HS report, they required our social worker to list (and approve us for) each of Cora's heart defects...and boy, seeing that long ol' list laid out like that was surreal! It took three sentences to list out her entire diagnosis! But that's not what I see when I look at her...and I know it's not what you see when you look at your Madeline. Can't wait for you to bring her home! :)

  3. I can only imagine how hard it was to hear. I DO know that God is The Great Physician, but there is just something about hearing that your baby has something life threatening! Lots of prayers, and love and doctors! And Madeline will get the chance to grow up and know the way she can live forever!!

  5. Knowing how broken their hearts are just breaks mine... but knowing that they have a chance, at a whole heart (emotionally, physically, spiritually) is cause for rejoicing!

    Rejoicing with you and Madeline,
    Hannah

  6. Our beautiful daughter came home at age 4 with tetralogy of fallot. China told us that they did not operate on her because her case was too risky. One month after her arrival home, she had open heart surgery and made a full recovery. I cannot say enough good things about her treatment at CHOP. Today, she is a healthy, smart, affectionate, wonderful little girl. Our family has become complete with our Mei Mei. I wish the same for you.
